Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

. To work as part of the Small works Team supplying Carpentry and associated competency to
external clients.
. To carry out price works and extra works/emergencies in accordance with the contract
requirements on all Services.
. To provide detailed reporting with predictive times for remedial and chargeable works, and life
cycle condition reporting.
. To provide a high level of technical and hands on support in the provision of our service
delivery and the daily communication with our clients and office staff
. Working as a key part of the Small works Team, and key interface with our Clients.
. To carry out all works in accordance with set schedules, ensuring engineering standards are
maintained in order to maximise the operational effectiveness and reliability of client assets
. Adherence to set engineering standards in accordance with Health and Safety at Work Act
(HASAWA) requirements.
. To ensure onsite Quality Assurance procedures are adhered to in all respects and to maintain
accurate records/documentation associated with small works and plant.
. To respond in a prompt and effective manner to all issues, and help desk requests associated
with services and associated systems or items.
. Must be flexible with working hours to meet the needs of the clients.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

. To work as a team to any breakdowns and emergencies associated with the services aspects
of the contract as required.
. Assist other trades as necessary.

Occasional Allied Duties:

. To attend meetings as required, and provide technical interface on site.
. To provide reports in relation to work and equipment as required.
. To undertake miscellaneous duties as requested by the Client.
. To proactively work towards the growth of the contract into other service provisions be they
Fabric, Mechanical and Electrical, Life Cycle replacements, Project works, etc.


Person Specification

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills

The knowledge, skills, qualifications and experience relevant to the position are:

Essential
. A relevant recognised qualification (e.g., City & Guilds).
. Experience of working on all types of Fabric work
. A background in working with fabric carpentry and building works
. Experienced in working with different materials that are used in properties and the chemicals
and sealants that are used to make sure that works are carried out to a high standard. This
may include knowledge of soundproof sections, chemicals, glues and nails To determine the
materials that are required for roof repairs and insulation of fabric items. High knowledge of
tools, equipment, materials and methods that are used in fabric works.

Desirable

. Carpentry qualified with additional fabric knowledge
. Specialist knowledge/training e.g. Working at Heights, IPAF, PASMA, Scaffolding
. Health and Safety Training
