We currently have an exciting opportunity within our HSSE Team for a Senor HSSE Advisor to support the Global HSSE Leader and play an instrumental part in delivering an advanced safety culture across the ESSAI region.This role offers huge opportunities for personal and career development, so suits a quick learner with an ambitious nature.

As a Senior HSSE Advisor, your main responsibilities will include the following:

•To maintain certification to OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001.

•Contribute to the development and delivery of customer/project HSSE plans.

•Facilitate communication and consultation through facility level HSSE (Q) forums/meetings.

•Reviewing Contractor HSSE Plans, Interface Documents, Operations Plans and Emergency Response Plans.

•Undertake facility security assessments as required.

•Ensure all activity is suitably risk assessed and hazards identified mitigated to ALARP.

•Maintains and develops the legal and other requirements and impacts and aspects registers.

•Undertakes safety and environmental audits, inspections and impact assessments as required.

•Conducts investigations of safety and environmental incidents with line management, ensures suitable and sufficient root cause analysis is undertaken and preventative solutions implemented.

•Contribute to in-house training, development and competency assessments of company personnel & new starters in environmental and health & safety management systems.

•Pro-actively seeking to avoid problems by promoting and increasing safety and environmental awareness within the business.

To be successful in this role, you must have the following:

•Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and spoken

•Ability to work in a team environment with minimum supervision

•Competence in the preparation of technical documentation to a high standard

•Experience and knowledge of ISO 14001 Management Systems

•Experience and knowledge of OHSAS 18001 Management Systems

•Recognized safety or environmental qualification

oMembership of recognized professional body (Tech IOSH / Grad IOSH / IEMA / MIIRSM or working towards) advantageous.

•Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint

•Experience in conducting internal audits (IRCA qualification/registration advantageous).

•Minimum 2 years’ HSSE experience ideally in a multi-site environment

•Flexibility to travel (up to 40% of the role)
