My client the UK's leading seafood supplier and distributor, has earned a reputation of unrivalled expertise by offering the widest range of fresh and frozen seafood available in the UK.

Due to retirement of a long standing member of the team we are looking to recruit an experienced Sales Representative from the food and drink industry to take over a very established geographical area.

Job Purpose:
To manage a territory of existing customers and to generate new business by selling a range of frozen, fresh and chilled seafood products. To increase the profitability of accounts and achieve sales targets in line with the growth of your branch.

Key Accountabilities:
Planning time effectively to ensure relationships with customers are maintained.
Understanding the competition and being able to identify growth and sales opportunities.
To be able to identify trends from computer generated statistics.
Assisting the telesales team by using the telesales PC software to maintain relationships with customers via the telephone.
Maintain an accurate account of visits by completing daily sales reports sheets.
Communicate with the Corporate Account Managers where necessary - working together to develop a comprehensive understanding of the requirements of group accounts.
Building relationships with key personnel in the branch in order to create a team approach to achieving targets and sales growth.
To assist the Credit Control department in collecting overdue payment from accounts within your territory.
To demonstrate an understanding of and to be able to use: the Corporate Account Bible, the GDS list, NPL and Fresh Fish Lists, Account opening procedures, daily and weekly reporting responsibilities, PACE report, customer record cards and the calculation of quality targets.
To be able to complete and operate a comprehensive call cycle.
To have a detailed knowledge of accounts by customer category and the national/independent business split.
To be able to demonstrate growth within territory.
