Up to GBP75,000 per annum
Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week

Our client is optimising their HR service to keep pace with the instrumental changes within their business. They are looking for a Policy and Reward Manager to lead a high performing culture through creation and adoption of employment policy and procedure supported by reward and recognition mechanisms.

The role:
Design, implement and maintain innovative people, employment and reward policies that reflect our challenger brand
Ensure HR policy, procedure and practice is consistent with legislative requirements and market competitive
Ensuring policy can be, and is, properly implemented. This includes benchmarking against competitors, socialising policy with relevant stakeholders and providing training to ensure creative policies are developed and adopted in a manner consistent with the companies values and priorities
Provide consultancy and advice to the HR team, managers and employees where appropriate
Lead the annual pay and bonus review. Proactively make recommendations for change.
Lead statutory reporting and analysis. Provide narrative and lead internal discussion on market reward practice
Lead the provision of training and communication to ensure employment and reward practice meets policy expectations
Lead the diversity and inclusion agenda working through others to effect change

The candidate:
Expert in employment law and practice with knowledge of broader EU employment law/environment
Clear understanding of emerging reward practice
Job and organisation design methodologies including the ability to size jobs using different mechanisms and translate into pay recommendations
Organisation effectiveness review and methodologies
Ability to lead and deliver change and adoption of new practice through others with strong influencing and communication preference, skill and impact
Ability to think and act ahead, designing recommendations to anticipate and address future needs and deliver the People Plan aspirations
Expert ability to work with Excel or similar business tools
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing legislative and policy changes including drafting policies, procedures and associated employment documentation
Logical and practical with wide ranging project management skill and experience
Strong commercial acumen any ability to apply it in an HR context
A preference to search out emerging best practice, effective in pushing the status quo
Preferably having academic accreditation with employment law as a specialism - such as employment law diploma, Master's Degree or advanced CIPD study
