Our client is a National Education Provider who are looking for a Further Education Sales Manager to join their expanding Business Development team, based remotely from home.

The Business Development team is the account management and growth team of the company offering advice, support and guidance to new and existing customers on our products and services to gain increased sales through exceptional customer service. The team provides a personal service to support their customers to deliver their products. They do whatever they can to make life easier for their customers so that they have an enjoyable and successful experience of working with them.


  • Responsibility for a team of Account Executives who specialise in Account Management of Further Education/Educational establishments

  • Own and drive the company’s growth within their FE Customers, developing account management strategies to retain and grow business

  • Responsible for income targets across the account exec department for FE

  • Work closely with customer development and sales teams to grow schools market

  • Working closely with the business to give insight and experience on the FE and Schools sector and be the 'voice of the customer’

  • Lead the operational management of FE growth strategies and work with departments to ensure we have the right products and services that their customers need.

  • Deputise for the National Operations Manager across all aspects of the role as needed

  • To develop, implement and monitor the delivery of the business plan arising from the Business Development strategy

  • To lead, manage, and develop the Business Development Account Executive team to ensure a co-ordinated and consistent approach

  • Reporting on weekly and monthly targets as well as giving key insight into their customers behaviour and forecasting likely growth or decline in product areas

  • To motivate and empower the team to meet targets, develop solutions to issues and support their centres through educational and funding changes

  • Manage a selected group of accounts and grow in line with targeted income

  • Forecast income by department level, customer type, product, region and account exec

  • To set, monitor and manage the achievement of team targets by allocating resources appropriately

  • To manage the FE Account exec budget

  • Develop account plans for their mid/ high value accounts to give insight into activity

  • To be responsible for exceeding the income target for the FE Account Team

  • To meet agreed targets for business development activity and assist in the development of future targets

  • Work closely with the EPA team to cross sell opportunities and offer a 'full service package’ to customers.

  • To maintain current knowledge of developments in the education sector, customer activity and the company’s products and services

  • To develop and maintain effective working relationships with key senior stakeholders and education sector contacts

  • To represent the company at key national events and conferences

  • To be pro-active in identifying business opportunities

  • To lead on specialist cross-organisational projects as required

  • As a manager, to contribute to cross-organisational issues and the achievement of organisational objectives

  • To carry out any other duties, appropriate with the grade of the post, as requested by the National Operations Manager

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including good grammar and spelling

  • Demonstrable word processing, data entry, spreadsheet and email skills

  • Attention to detail and ability to work accurately
