For this Graduate Maths Teaching Assistant role, you must be a responsible Maths graduate who has an impressive academic record, a 2:1 or higher in your degree and a good understanding of how to work with children based on experience gained from a similar role. The successful candidate will have the determination and pro-activeness that will show everyone how enthusiastic they are. You will have the drive to motivate your pupils allowing them to shine and demonstrate a real aptitude for teaching.
This Graduate Maths Teaching Assistant position involves joining the school in a general role, not assigned to any particular year group. You will be observing how to plan engaging lessons and gain enough knowledge to create one yourself. No matter what your background and amount of experience, the school will ensure you are amply supported in many ways including providing you with a mentor who is hugely respected in the school. In general, you will be working with pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups to ensure that their individual needs are being met. Your duties will include supporting the teaching and learning process within the school as you work across they key stages.
