Great Britain’s gambling industry is in a constant state of change, fuelled by shifting consumer behaviour and the rapid growth of technology. It’s high profile politically too, and the legislation controlling gambling is constantly under scrutiny. Within this uniquely challenging and evolving environment, The Gambling Commission’s role is to ensure that gambling is crime free, fair and open - and that children and vulnerable people are protected. Now they need you to play a key role in their future, driving the change needed to ensure that the Gambling Commission can meet the growing complexity of the market and their developing regulatory remit.

The Gambling Commission are now looking for a Senior Manager to join the Casework and Intelligence programme which works with cases arising from regulatory breaches and unlicensed activity.

This is the ideal role for a leader from a regulatory background who is looking to take on an engaging role with a leading regulatory body.

As a Senior Manager, you will oversee the work of a team of Casework Investigators as they deal with complex or high impact issues that have arisen from breached regulations or unlicensed gambling activity.

You will act as a workstream leader and will take responsibility for the delivery and performance of workstream(s) and the management of a multi-disciplinary team who are assigned work on a case-by-case basis.

Engaging with a gambling licence holder’s senior-level personnel and legal providers, you will articulate issues and request information that will evidence the Commission’s findings.

The outcome of this initial work may result in compliance-related activity or significant regulatory or even criminal sanctions.

Interested? If so, you will need:

- Experience in a regulatory, criminal and policy analysis environment
- Experience in a policy, regulatory or enforcement environment
- Proven experience in leading and developing a high functioning multi-disciplined and skilled team

Dedicated and influential, as a Senior Manager, you will also need to be a strong leader, able to delegate and communicate effectively, and a superb problem solver who is comfortable investigating and uncovering information.

Please note, the closing date for this role is the 11th August 2017.
