Delphi 3rd Line Support Analyst - Max. £40k - London, Birmingham or Newcastle
Location is London OR Birmingham OR Newcastle
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 plus bonus and benefits package
This is a long-established and market-leading supplier of software to the financial sector, specifically Wealth Management , Asset Management and Stockbroking. They require someone with Delphi experience to fill a 3rd line support role, resolving incidents via code changes. This is an opportunity for someone with relatively junior Delphi skills to eventually progress into a software development role. For this, you can be based in either Birmingham (preferred), London or Newcastle.
The experience required to be eligible for this role is as follows:
- RECENT commercial experience in supporting/programming Delphi
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Previous experience in customer support and the ability to effectively communicate with clients
- Proven ability in the design and implementation of Object Oriented systems
This third line support role resides in an Application Maintenance team. If an issue requires a code change, it is passed on to the Application Maintenance team for resolution, hence the requirement for programming abilities in Delphi in this role. As well as defect analysis and resolution, you would be responsible for the support and maintenance of the Delphi source code and testing.
The career path here is to eventually move from this support role into a software development role and then on to a Senior Software Developer role. Therefore, if you have basic Delphi skills and aspire to becoming a software developer, this could be the means by which you achieve that.
