Interim Financial Controller - Birmingham - 4 - 6 months

This an exciting opportunity for a Interim Financial Controller to join a organisation for 4 - 6 months focusing on business as usual, improving reporting and process reengineering. Day rate is negotiable depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities of the Interim Financial Controller:
* Concise and thought provoking monthly commentary
* Deliver business process improvement initiatives
* Develop key performance indicators and service levels
* Prepare accurate rolling forecasts
* Report regularly of the financial position to the FD
* Produce management accounts and insightful analysis
* Communication of monthly results
* Identify business improvements
* Team management (leading by example)
* Produce reports, board papers and presentations
* Assisting in financial decision-making process
* Re-forecasting
* Commercial analysis
* Preparation of profit and loss
* Preparation of annual budgets and relevant reports

Requirements of the Interim Financial Controller:
* Strong user of Excel
* Experience ideally gained within a high volume, low value transactional PLC business
* Strong commercial grasp
* Demonstrable track record of having improved the reporting environment
* Demonstrating a 'can do' attitude
* Able to articulate process flows, and also identify business system improvements
