Audit & Accounts Semi Senior based in Birmingham

Public Practice Recruitment Ltd are seeking a highly-motivated accountant with a minimum of 18 months’ experience in a general accountancy practice for an active accountancy firm based in Birmingham. For the Audit & Accounts Semi Senior job in Edgbaston, you should be ACCA/ACA part qualified/newly qualified with the passion to provide exceptional results.

The perfect accountant will receive extensive training but will also receive an ACCA/ICAEW training contract to help complete examinations and qualify as a Chartered Accountant.

The main responsibilities for the Audit & Accounts Semi Senior job in Birmingham include:

• Attending and assisting with audits including that of planning and field work and stock take
• Bookkeeping and preparation of VAT returns
• Management accounts preparation
• Preparation of forecasts
• Year-end statutory accounts preparation in CaseWare
• Preparation of personal and corporation tax returns for individuals and companies
• Attending and assisting with audits including that of planning and field work and stock take
• Payroll preparation for weekly and monthly payrolls

The ideal candidate will be ACCA/ACA part qualified/newly qualified with a minimum of 18 months’ experience of working within a public practice accountancy firm. Audit background is essential when applying for this role. You will need to be confident in communicating with clients and able to assist with audits.
