An exciting opportunity to join a specialist tour operator, working with customers to create their dream winter holiday.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with outstanding customer service skills to join our client's expanding team. You will manage all aspects of the booking process, you will be an integral part of the business and will help ensure customers experience the best possible level of customer service. This is a busy and varied role that demands the utmost attention to detail and the ability to learn and adapt quickly.

Responsibilities of a Travel Consultant:

Respond appropriately to all sales enquiries in a professional manner and in line with the specific holiday 'brand'.Maintain and consistently add to your knowledge of all travel productsSupport colleagues’ customers to ensure that they receive an excellent level of customer service in the absence of their Travel Expert.Corresponding with clients to confirm all aspects of their bookingThoroughly checking bookings to ensure that all necessary elements are in place and requests have been actioned.Confirm and monitor the status of bookings with suppliers overseasBook flights for clients with a range of airlinesRecording of data and booking information for tracking purposesBeing the first and main point of contact for the high volume of client queries following their booking. This will be both via phone and email.Process any amendments to existing bookings and cancellations and liaising with the administration teamCollating and responding to client feedback post-holiday.General administrative tasks as and when requiredProcessing payments.Deal swiftly and professionally with client complaints during and following holidays, liaising with all departments necessary to provide swift resolution.Personal Specification for a successful Travel Consultant:

Be a confident communicator who can work well under pressure but remain calm and collectedFriendly and outgoing, with outstanding people skills, and the ability to build rapport with customers quickly and effectively via telephone/emailA positive and enthusiastic person with exceptional attention to detailA confident individual who is able to work independently as well with all teams in the business to provide the best outcome for the company and the clientsYou should have the ability to manage your own workload using your own excellent organisational skillsSkills required for a Travel Consultant:

We require a candidate who appreciates the need for urgency (some of the bookings are very time-sensitive) and works well under pressureThe successful candidate will be self-confident and an excellent communicator. Must be able to liaise with departments within the company as well as overseas suppliersThe candidate should be confident with numbers and analysing figuresExceptional organisational skills are required as there will always be multiple tasks underway at any one time.Strong English skills are essential, both written and verbalOutstanding attention to detailConfident with IT, particularly MS Excel and WordAbility to prioritise and independently manage your workloadA Scandinavian language would be an advantage.What can you expect in return?
