The Role

Reporting to the Ops Manager,the Continuous Improvement Engineer will be part of a team responsible for providing appropriate manufacturing engineering support. The role will include;

- Drive the continuous improvement strategy onsite

- Productivity/ performance measurement

- Analyse process performance and identify solutions to KPI shortfall

- SOPs

- Cost saving opportunities

- Identify system developments and process changes

- Provide cost / benefit analysis of changes

- Develop current and future process flows to improve the functional areas

- New layouts, processes, technology & equipment

- Develop presentations illustrating design methodology, recommendations and results

- Own and develop the operations headcount plan

- Own and develop productivity metrics for all areas of the operation

- corrective actions

- kaizen events and establish clear timelines for all projects with associated savings

The Person
Based out of the Wolverhampton site, the ideal CI/Continuous Improvement Engineer will have the following skills and experience:


- Relevant quals / time served

- Solid CI background with minimum of 3 years' experience

- Project management experience

- Lean and/or Six Sigma certified

- Excellent organisation &communication skills

- Use own initiative and high degree of accuracy, numeracy & attention to detail

- Strong sense of urgency and ability to work under pressure

- confident decision maker and proactive problem solver (8D, Six Sigma), with a hands-on approach as both an individual and as part of a team

- Ability to interpret data and derive solid conclusions from the statistical analysis

- Strong IT skills

- Change management skills


- Educated to degree level

- Additionally: Industrial engineer/ process/ process improvement/ Op Ex background would be an advantage

- Value Stream Mapping/ SOP/ Control plans/ 5S/ Lean experience

- Advanced excel user, Intermediate autocad preferable
