Job purpose;

The role involves proactively engaging, collaborating and managing relationships with internal stakeholders and customers to support project delivery. You will provide expert advice, guidance and support in order to manage, plan and deliver projects. A keen eye for detail is essential, along with excellent communication and influencing skills.

Working with others the role of Project Manager will manage and develop people, processes and resources. The role will interrogate IT projects and key initiatives, to determine the degree of alignment, dependencies and potential risks and opportunities. Using your experience of project management skills and tools you will play an integral role as part of the IT Team, and help support an IT project manager who will be delivering the programme of works for the IT department.

Specialist Knowledge, Skills and Expertise:

You will be required to demonstrate the following knowledge, skills and experience:

*Advanced communication and analytical skills
*IT Project management experience including software expertise and different project management methodologies
*Demonstrable experience of successful delivery of one or more projects with significant IT infrastructure / systems / process components.
*Experience of working in a complex project environment with parallel and co-dependent activities.
*Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills, with practical experience of authoring a wide range of documents, including formal reports.
*Ability to relate confidently and effectively to stakeholders at all levels, and to tailor materials to their needs.
*Risk and issue management
*Strong negotiating and influencing skills
*Strong relationship management skills
*Proficient in the use of Microsoft Project, and Excel
*Experience of working with a wide range of colleagues at all levels
