Business Development Manager - Stoke on Trent Salary 25/35k

Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday 8.45 to 5.15

Reporting to the New Business Team Leader your purpose would be to win business to enable you to achieve a gross profit target to aid company growth. This will involve the sales process of the following products; Biometric Access Control & Time and Attednance. This is not an exhaustive list. As new products and services enter the product portfolio, you will be expected to support and promote these also.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

- Adhere to health and safety policy, and other requirements relating to care of equipment.
- Identify potential customers, and decision makers within the customer company.
- Prospect for potential customers and convert into new business.
- Cold call as appropriate to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities.
- Meet potential customers by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your network.
- Research and build relationships with potential new customers.
- Plan, deliver & improve approaches and pitches.
- Develop proposals that encompass the customer's needs, concerns, and objectives.
- Accurately price the solution/service within the given commercial parameters.
- Handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements and working through differences to a positive conclusion.
- Use a variety of styles to persuade or negotiate appropriately.
- Present to and consult with senior level management on business trends with a view to developing new services, products, and distribution channels.
- Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales.
- Use knowledge of the market and competitors to identify and develop the company's unique selling propositions and differentiators.
- Submit weekly progress reports and ensure data is accurate.
- Ensure that data is accurately entered and managed within the company's CRM.
- Forecast sales targets and ensure they are achieved.
- Work with all departments to ensure that sale prerequisites are fulfilled within a timely manner.
- Understand the company's goal and purpose so that will continual to enhance the company's performance.

Experience/Qualifications/Education/Technical Skills

Essential: Face to Face & distance selling to all levels within all business profiles. Managing the day to day activities of sales opportunities Capable of selling multiple products Proven track record of Commercial acumen Knowledge of a part of the telecoms industry

Desirable: Product Knowledge for the target areas agreed

Sales Skill appropriate to the task in hand

Personal skills/Other job skills

Essential: Effective communication skills, including presentation skills

Ability to sell ethically and promote the values of the company

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office

Flexible and Resilient
