An Implementation Manager is required by our Global Banking client based in Birmingham for an initial 6 months contract. The Implementation Manager will be responsible for driving change initiatives and business re-engineering to deliver key initiatives. You will also be responsible for providing analytical support to senior management within the Business Implementation team including preparing project documentation and monitoring key project deliverables.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing a high standard of project support to the Business Management (BM) team
  • Supporting the Global Head of Business Management in meeting all deliverables to Global CMB Executive Committee (ExCo)
  • Evidencing a broad knowledge of all aspects of CMB, and deploy this to form effective working relationships across teams in segments, products and supporting Global Functions
  • Continually assessing areas for process and system improvements and acting upon as appropriate in agreement with country CMB Management & Chief of Staff (CoS), reporting findings to interested stakeholders
  • Managing roll out of new project plans and task deliverables with stakeholders
  • Assisting country CMB Management as needed in problem identification, design, testing, training, and deployment of change
  • Working closely with the Business Management (BM) teams in regions, countries, segments,
  • Supporting achievement of the HSBC vision, Values, goals and culture in personal behaviour, actions and decision making
  • Providing technical leadership and support technical excellence by searching out external best practice, monitoring technical and professional developments, sharing knowledge and encouraging others to do the same in the best interests of the client and its customers
  • Developing and recommending changes and improvements to operating models, procedures and practices based on subject matter expertise and understanding of the client and market best practice
  • Contributing to the implementation and monitoring of the application of CMB policies, governance frameworks, procedures, practices and standards to ensure quality, effective risk management and regulatory compliance

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

  • Experience working in a relevant environment i.e. Strategic Change, Project Management
  • Previous working knowledge of the changing regulatory environment especially within the financial sector
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • A good understanding of the CMB Business is desirable but not essential
  • Prince 2 qualification or equivalent is desirable but not essential
  • A track record of making strategic business decisions, considering relevant risks, long term implications, commercial realities and stakeholders’ needs
  • Experience of creating and deploying comprehensive business/operating plans which consistently deliver desired results
