Regional Health & Safety Manager

Reporting to the Operations Director the Regional Health and Safety Manager is required to join a market leading Principal Contractor within one of their Regional locations. The business operates primarily within fast paced planned and reactive maintenance covering projects around Midlands, South UK.

This position is an excellent opportunity for a Health and Safety Professional looking for a stable long term career in a senior position with a nationally renowned company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving Safety forward within a reputable organisation that pride themselves on their excellent safety culture. It is a fantastic opportunity to make your mark on how the company develop their H&S programmes nationally, and enhance their safety culture regionally.

The Regional Health and Safety Manager will be responsible for:

·Overseeing and improving the Health and Safety culture across the specified regions.

·Providing expert support and guidance to the project and site teams on all Health and Safety matters.

·Influencing and improving Safety long term for the business regionally

·Keeping up to date with all accreditations and integrated management systems.

To be considered for the role of Regional Health and Safety Manager you will ho

·Hold the NEBOSH Diploma. Note: Applicants will be considered who hold the NEBOSH Certificate that are working towards the completion of their Diploma for this position.

ld the following skills and qualifications:

·Hold the NEBOSH Construction Certificate

·Possess experience within refurbishment framework agreements

·Have line management experience (beneficial)

·Have the ability to liaise at all levels including board level

·Be a driven, strong minded individual and able to work in high pressure environments

·Willing to travel regionally, with some overnight stay requirements

·Be continually up to date with changes in H&S legislation

·Compile and manage Health & Safety records, RAMS etc.

·Be highly competent using IT H&S software applications

·Willing to travel with some overnight stay

·Excellent communication skills, written and verbal

·Report writing

-Assisting in H&S within Tender bids

-Assisting in preparation of specific H&S documentation for projects
