Job description:


Our European Finance department currently have an opportunity for a Trainee Accountant with previous experience seeking an opportunity to gain full end to end management accounting exposure. The ideal candidate will have experience of accruals and prepayments. If you are a Finance graduate with previous experience or currently studying towards AAT and working in a Finance department this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

This role will initially be for a period fixed term period of 12 months.

*Preparation of monthly Management Accounts
*Book journals in GL system to finalise results e.g., Accruals, prepayments.
*Provide variance analysis of actuals vs. budget.
*Reconcile all balance sheet accounts.
*Reconcile bank accounts weekly to facilitate smooth month-end closure.
*Apply NCH Group accounting policy and ensure compliance with US GAAP.
*Proactively work towards streamlining processes to support efficiency and consistency across the finance function.
*Intrastat and VAT compliance with accurate timely reporting.
*Work with External Auditors for annual audit and support preparation of annual tax declarations and statutory accounts.

*Good analytical and problem-solving skills
*Ability to work with systems to a high standard including Excel
*Experience of accounting office work and/or Shared Service environment is advantageous.

*Minimum A-level or equivalent
*Degree in Accounting or Finance related subjects preferable

Required profile:


The successful candidate will be numerate, accurate, self-motivated, organised and have the ability to consistently meet deadlines. They should have a strong educational track record with prior work experience in a Finance department.
