We have a new exciting opportunity, not to be missed! At The Scout Association we are currently looking for an Area Growth and Development Manager to join us in a Home based position covering Scouting in the East Midlands and West Midlands. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis, working 35 hours per week. The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of £37,719 per annum plus fantastic benefits.

About the Area Growth and Development Manager role

The purpose of this role is to effectively manage the delivery and operation of Regional Services activities, including any externally funded projects, across an allocated geographic area. This includes the shaping, management and delivery of proactive support for growth in the allocated geographic area and ensuring that support is provided for key line managers in Scouting (specifically Regional, County and District Commissioners).

We are looking for an inspirational leader with effective management skills to support, empower and motivate a field based team of staff. You must be passionate about growing Scouting to enable us to provide even more quality Scouting to more communities. You will need to demonstrate excellent influencing skills and be able to work with our senior volunteers to offer the best possible staff support in a complex and ever demanding role.
