My client based in Birmingham are recruiting for a Head of Archiving to join a recently been established to ensure the effective compliant archiving of records in order to meet the legal, regulatory and business value requirements.
The Head of Archiving will support the Global Head of AaaS to ensure the policies, procedures and systems to enforce effective compliant archiving of records. Working with colleagues they will take management responsibility to evaluate archiving needs, ensuring clients on-board to the relevant complaint archive solution for the specific data class. This is a unique opportunity to help roll out a new compliant archiving function within a global organization and build the reputation, culture, policies and systems to deliver effective records management.
The Head of Archiving will provide expertise, advice and guidance to drive compliance with Archiving policy, standards and solutions, engaging with Business partners to ensure system data and applications meet archiving requirements and research, produce and maintain guidance and key operating procedures to support effective compliant archiving across the Business. You will analyse current operating environment, policy and standards and maintain awareness of changes to records regulation while monitoring and supporting business compliance.
The Head of Archiving will be responsible for developing and managing relationships with key business contacts, evaluating client archiving needs and recommending a solution. You will capture implementation risks, report on KRI's and controls and maintain requirements for Archiving tools, ensuring best practice is developed and shared including ways of working, technical solutions, practical hints and tips for effective compliant archiving.
It is essential that the Head of Archiving has experience of managing records within a large organisation, preferably in the Financial Services sector. Experience of supporting end users in their use of Enterprise Content Management (ECM) tools such as Sharepoint+, FileNet etc. Experience of implementing ECM systems with compliant archiving within large organisations across the data types Structured / Unstructured or Voice and e Experience and skills to manage projects and staff effectively.
