An opportunity has arisen for an Event Coordinator to join our contact centre in Birmingham. Whilst this position is initially located in Yardley, we are relocating to Birmingham City Centre in November 2017. This is an important role in which you will provide a high level of support to all frontline recruitment staff across the National Citizen Service (NCS) programme.

Essentially you will be responsible for generating new recruitment leads over the phone within a contact centre environment. You may also be required to attend meetings with educational establishments as and when the business requires.

A typical day will include:

Liaising with key stakeholders at schools and other external organisations over the phone. to book quality meetings and events.

Building excellent working relationships with schools and other external organisations.

Organising and managing multiple diaries to coordinate events.

Communicating daily with schools/colleges via phone, email and face to face.

Being persuasive when in dialogue with schools and ensure 100% access across each local authority area.

Managing a large caseload of schools, colleges and other organisations to maximise events booking opportunities across the region.

About you:

You must have the following qualifications and experience:

Experience in working in a contact centre environment.

A drive to achieve targets.

Excellent negotiating, objection handling and influencing skills.

Excellent communication skills.

Motivation to work autonomously.

Attention to detail and an ability to work under pressure

Demonstrates a good level of IT literacy – MS Word, Excel and Outlook

Excellent presentation, listening and written skills

Ability to build rapport and adapt to client needs

Ability to work to team and organisational goals

Planning and organisational skills.

Demonstrate excellent communication and understands its importance in both client relationships and teamwork.
