We are currently looking for a NVH Engineer to work for a major organisation based in Warwickshire. Permanent or Contract Positions Available.

Hours: 40 Hours Per Week

The Role:

*This is a responsible position within the NVH department based at the clients engineering centre.

*The NVH department is involved in the full range of noise and vibration activities for vehicle as well as transmission and driveline related projects.

*The work typically ranges from benchmarking and target setting through to full NVH development and troubleshooting to production conformity and support.

*The department has at its disposal some of the latest equipment for data acquisition, simulation and analysis.

*This includes the latest LMS Test.lab and Virtual.Lab software and hardware.

*Projects are undertaken on behalf of either product development teams within the client, or directly for an external client.

*The work involves taking responsibility either for complete projects within the department, or for discrete tasks within large projects.

*The technical nature of the work is likely to cover the full range of NVH analysis, test and development activities and will additionally involve the candidate with vehicle, powertrain and transmission engineering, instrumentation and computing activities.

*The position will likely involve some travel in the UK and possibly abroad, and occasionally the employee may be required to work at client sites.

*Knowledge of the fundamentals of sound and vibration are essential.

*The use of Digital Signal Processing analysis techniques and experience in the application of CAE tools to solve NVH problems will also be an advantage.

*The role will include undertaking day to day NVH technical activities as part of the project delivery team (under the supervision of the project team leader).

Required Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

*The successful applicant will be highly self-motivated, and capable of working under their own initiative.

*They would be a graduate with over two years' experience in some of the above fields.

*The job involves regular interaction with other engineers and technicians; hence the ability to communicate well on a technical level is important.

*Furthermore, since the job involves reporting of results, the ability to provide concise written reports on the work is essential.

*A minimum of 2 years NVH experience

*Robust knowledge of the fundamentals of sound and vibration, including instrumentation

*Thorough technical knowledge of vehicles, engines, transmission and driveline systems

*Competency in skilled areas that involve performance of a broad range of work activities, including many that are complex and non-routine

*At least second-class degree in Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent

*Self-starting ability to analyse and provide solutions to problems

*Strong interpersonal and communication skills at all levels

*Clean driving licence

Desired Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

*Knowledge of LMS Test.lab or equivalent

*Good task management skills

*Confidence, be self-motivating and a team player

*Ability to work under own initiative

*Experience of Digital Signal Processing analysis techniques

*Ability to produce thorough but concise technical reports

*Good presentation and communication skills

*Usual MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

*High degree of flexibility and willingness to travel

*An ability to work under pressure and tight timescales

*Experience of knowledge of application of CAE tools (e.g. MSC ADAMS, WAVE / GT Power, Nastran, LMS Virtual.Lab) to solve NVH problems

*Driver permit for UK test track (e.g. Millbrook or MIRA)
