Role: Materials and Logistics

Location: Marlow

Ideal candidate:

- This is not a stores managers position, looking for someone with Inbound Materials Planning and Management skills
- Previous Inventory management and planning
- Understand supply chain.
- Some SIOP knowledge would be good
- Someone looking to take their next step up, keen

Role Purpose

- Accountable for in-bound Material planning processes to ensure materials are available to production on time and in full to enable on time delivery to customers
- To take responsibility for Inbound/Outbound & internal materials movements, inventory control (including perpetual inventory counting and annual stock checks), warehousing, processes & Kitting functions.
- Responsibility for deliveries to customers, whether domestic or international, managing documentation including invoicing, packing and packaging, shipping and distribution.

Key areas from the spec to focus on

- Performing all operations according to prescribed safety, health and environmental (SHE) principles.
- Understand supply chain dynamics and set inventory with optimal cost and delivery trade-offs.
- Establish stocking policies and planning parameters for all parts - Plan for Every Part
- For sites with defense contracts, ensure FAR and MMAS compliance as required.
- Establish and lead daily/weekly stores, dispatch standup meetings, driving continuous improvement of' KPIs and role-modeling root cause problem solving.
- Developing and implementing robust, multi-year supply chain and material planning strategies to support the Business Unit goals and to support the companies corporate Supply Chain initiatives.
- Develop strategic plans to drive site to 5X inventory turns, conducting RCPS and associated projects to drive inventory improvement.


- Compliance with relevant industry regulations and internal Company Management Procedures.
- Compliance with Customer/Contract dictated packaging and shipping.
- On-time-delivery (OTD) and Customer Defect Parts per Million (CDPPM) metrics.
- Headcount and costs.


- A relevant qualification in distribution, logistics and transportation is desirable.
- Previous experience of managing stores and despatch environments is essential.
- Experience of managing an area containing ESD components is desirable.
