Senior Category Specialist - Renewable Energy
As a Senior Category Specialist at Severn Trent Water you will be responsible for the strategic management and ownership of a number of purchasing spends areas within a designated category. For this particular role you will be focused on Renewable Energy. The aim of the role is to deliver a sustainable supply chain to ensure Severn Trent Water's external expenditure is effectively managed to deliver the lowest cost and highest standards. A Senior Category Specialist will typically manage portfolios with an annual spend of up to £10m.
As an experienced Buyer/Category Specialist you will have previous purchasing experience in a Buyer level role and a knowledge of the EU Procurement Regulations. You will also have experience of managing tenders & contracts and have experience of using various purchasing / procurement systems (for example BRAVO and SAP). You will also be interested in looking at process improvements, innovations in the process and managing supplier relationships. It would also be ideal if you ahve experience withtin the renewable wenergy sector but this is not essential.
