There has never been a better time to join this company! This company is an extremely successful market leader, boasting year on year growth both within its high street stores and online and now has an amazing opportunity for a Web Design Manager based in Coleshill to cover maternity for a period of 12 months.

You will work closely with the trading, marketing and other commercial teams to understand its products and commercial opportunities in each category and use this knowledge to create digital content experiences that maximise customer satisfaction and conversion rate. You will manage a Junior and will be responsible for the professional development of this individual and the growth of this crucial function.

As the Web Design Manager, your duties will be to:

- Publish all digital content to the site with full creative ownership.
- Maintain a consistent tone of voice, editorial decision making, graphics approval, proofing and editorial copy, user experience throughout our online content).
- Ensure the brand is enhanced, maintained, protected within the scope of digital content.
- Execute visual design stages from concept to final sign off.
- Establish and promote guidelines, best practice and standards.
- Ensure quantitative analysis, where possible, rather than assumption is used consistently by the digital content team to measure content performance and inform business decision making, instilling a culture where the use of web analytics is promoted as a tool to increase the value of creative production.
- Ensure key digital content requirements and interests are championed within its development pipeline, working with development partners to create new technology.

To be a successful Web Manager you will have the following skills and experience:

- An experienced, hands-on Designer who understands the challenges involved in producing inspiring mass content and gets involved in the detail when required, but is also able to think strategically to improve the end-to-end customer experience.
- Excellent knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- A good understanding of search engine optimisation techniques and understand how to produce content that is accessible for all customers and search engines
- Experience of working within a retail, multichannel environment is preferable.
- Excellent knowledge and experience Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop are essential.

In return, the Web Design Manager will receive a salary of £26,000 per annum.
