32812 Development Test Engineer - HMI instrument cluster
The position is a development test engineer working within the HMI sub-team of the UCIC group in Electrical. The candidate will be required to work in the development and test of the HMI business logic and graphics for the Instrument Cluster and HUD components.
KEY SKILLS REQUIRED
A good ability to interpret functional requirements and apply an End User / Common Sense approach.
An ability to work with other members of the Driver Information and Feature owner teams to determine the HMI requirements for the instrument cluster and progress these through to an implemented solution.
A background in software development in various toolchains/languages with a bias towards user interface development
Previous experience of working with high level HMI systems.
Automotive product development experience in Electrical Engineering.
Experience in the use of code generation tools within Matlab/Simulink.
Experience of component testing methods, including issue tracking and test case development.
Experience and capability of TAT Motionlab, EB Guide, Rightware KANZI UI, Adobe Illustrator, 3DS Max, Other 2D/3D graphics design tools.
Working knowledge of C/C++.

Background in computer graphics rendering.
Vehicle network (CAN) experience.
Knowledge of GPU architecture/Computer graphics (possibly gaming industry) background.
Version control systems.
