Our high profile client in the automotive industry is currently looking to recruit a 'Human Factor/ Ergonomics Engineer' to work at their busy site in Gaydon in the West Midlands.

Position Description:

- Human Factors / Ergonomics role within Vehicle design environment. Based in the Design Studio at our Research and Development facility in Warwickshire, as part of an expanding Human Factors team, this role is to deliver the human factors requirements for new automated driving features for future products.
- This will involve working directly with other stakeholders to help define and influence the feature definition.
- The position will require the delivery of high quality specification documents that are clear and unambiguous.

Skills Required:

- Sound understanding of Human Factors and Ergonomic design principles for user Interfaces.
- Self-motivated and able to work with management support within the local team and interfacing across business functions.
- Ability to coordinate and run user trials to gather objective data to support Business decision making and detail design.
- Statistical analysis, problem solving & root-cause analysis including idea generation and issue resolution
- Clear and concise communicator.
- Ability to produce formal documentation to a professional standard.
- Ability to manage projects and deliver to short timescales & deadlines.

Experience Required:

- Human Factors / Ergonomics role within a consumer based Product Development environment to include concept development, assessment and user trialling AND/OR Human Factors Qualification with project based experience in Product development environment
- Awareness of product development process
- Familiarity with Premium automotive sector, products and features.

Experience Preferred:

- Higher qualification in related discipline (e.g. MSc/PhD Human Factors, Ergonomics, Applied Psychology, Product Design, etc)
- Competitor research/benchmarking (physical & web-based) and Quality data analysis
- Knowledge and understanding of current industry ADAS feature set and BASt/SAE Autonomous Driving levels.
