Based in Wolverhampton

A vacancy has arisen for a Finance Assistant to join a busy Treasury Back Office team performing a variety of administration tasks. You will report to the Treasury Back Office Manager and offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing team that is central to the Group's operational finance function.

You will play a key part in the execution of day to day activities within a multi-pool environment, including but not limited to: - Direct Debit/Non-standard borrower payments, third party payments/customer refunds and financial reporting and the operational activities relating to the loan origination process.

You will be required to assist the Treasury Back Office Manager with maintaining a tightly controlled process driven environment ensuring servicing activities are executed in accordance with policies and procedures and exceptionally high standards of quality are achieved at all times. You will also be expected to play a key part in the implementation and execution of new operational processes and enhancements to the mortgage servicing platform.

Key Skills:

  • An understanding of Finance related mortgage servicing activities e.g. processing Bacs files, posting customer receipts, third party payments, customer refunds, asset owner distributions, bank reconciliations, general ledger postings and month end financial reporting;

  • An understanding of the Direct Debit scheme and the rules around operating Direct Debits;

  • Ability to work confidently with several core systems

  • Flexible approach to helping deliver team workloads and managing conflicting priorities;

  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
