Summary of Position

The Administrator will ensure that all daily processes run smoothly and provide support to team members when they need it. As the first point of contact for many learners, it is essential that a customer focused service is delivered.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • To assist with the planning, organisation, co-ordination and management of apprenticeships and training programmes
  • Maintain up to date records and contacts
  • Handle ingoing and outgoing correspondence for the Academy
  • Take responsibility for ensuring that deadlines are met
  • Undertaking general typing duties for the department and taking minutes in meetings as and when required
  • Collate course evaluation and reports
  • Organise inductions
  • Liaise and communicate with other departments as and when required
  • To liaise with prime contractors and send in documentation requested
  • To organise the department for quality audits from the Awarding Body and Funding Partner
  • To assess and internally verify work completed by learners
  • To conduct Learner Progress Reviews when necessary
  • To ensure the accuracy of information that has been exchanged
  • To support learners with any special needs/learning difficulties
  • Be conversant with current legislative requirements
Essential Requirements
  • Must have good organisation skills
  • Have an experience of working in a busy office/training environment
  • Be able to work to deadlines
  • Communicate well - written and verbal
  • Have the ability to work unsupervised
  • Have an attention to detail and be able to produce accurate timely results
  • Have good skills in ICT (MS Office/Internet/Email/Apps)
  • Able to deal with complex and confidential information
  • Prepare to undertake additional training if required
  • Have GCSE (or equivalent) in Mathematics, ICT and English
  • Have an A1 (Assessor) qualification or be willing to work towards one
  • Have an IQA (Verifier) qualification or be willing to work towards one
  • Be able to work as part of a team
  • Have relevant qualifications to be able to assess learners
  • Demonstrate compliance of Safeguarding guidelines
Desirable attributes
  • Have knowledge of a government funded training environment
  • Have experience in working with apprentices/learners
  • Have understanding of working with government affiliated departments
  • Have experience of working within the Automotive Sector qualifications and Awarding Bodies
