Purpose of Role

We are seeking a Design Coordinator required to assist with the management of design on a high profile Railway Electrification Programme. Based in Derby, the role will see you assisting with the submission of designs – liaising with Sub-Contractors Designers as required, and updating project trackers and programmes.

Duties will include;
• Assist in updating trackers and programme.
• Collating KPI as required by the project.
• Assist with monitoring of TQ, RFI & DRN’s.
• Attending project meetings as required.
• Assisting with design submissions and review meetings.
• Liaisons with sub contract designers as required.
• Assist with EWN’s.
• Assist with IDC / IDR review meetings and interfaces as required.

Principal Accountabilities

Collaboration with external and internal team members.
Provide data for, and assist in compilation of, monthly reports required by Design Manager.
Assist in the development and improvement of processes and protocols forwarding any proposals to the IM and SiM. Support the project team with any technical issues to be resolved with 4Projects and report any issues unresolved to the Information Manager.
Manage incoming electronic information ensuring compliance with protocols, and ensure registration/distribute in accordance with the Design Management Plan and Information Management Plan.
Quality assure all incoming information against the IMP and feedback any issues back to the issuers, providing guidance where required.
Manage/maintain hard copy requirements for the project team.
Monitor/record received information against agreed programme.
Perform security checks as defined in the IMP.
Distribute information in line with the IMP.
Carry out model validation and information validation of all models produced on the project to ensure aligned with both the Project BEP and the IMP.
Undertake specific model federation exercises for the Design management team as and when requested.
Arrange printing and delivery of drawings/documents to site as required.
