£60k-£70k | Bonus | Car/Allowance + additional benefits

CSG Talent has partnered with a leading provider of Hard Services to bring an experienced Business Development Manager into the team to support growth. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Business Development professional with an entrepreneurial approach and excellent project management skills to join a thriving company with ambitious growth plans.

The Role

In this role you will work closely with the Sales Director and the central bid team to:

  • Identify opportunities in target markets through an in-depth knowledge of those markets and form a strategic plan to target key opportunities.
  • Form relationships with key clients through strong pre-engagement with a focus on increasing market awareness and establishing the company as a trusted partner.
  • Build a robust sales pipeline fed by informed pre-engagement, networking and industry knowledge to maintain a sales funnel that can be drawn upon in order to maintain a consistent pipeline.
  • Manage the process from pre-engagement through the bid process and negotiations working closely with operations to ensure a smooth transition and mobilisation.
  • Deliver profitable projects and support the Sales Director to deliver growth in accordance with the business plan.

A Bit About You

This is an opportunity for an experienced Business Development Manager with an entrepreneurial approach and excellent project management skills.

  • The successful candidate will be someone who has experience in hard services and is commercially astute with a proven track record in winning commercially sound new business opportunities.
  • You will have a good understanding of OJEU procurement process and the wider FM service procurement processes and procedures including all differing procurement vehicles
  • A broad practical understanding and appreciation of operational activity is required and experience of working with 3rd party suppliers and fostering good relationships.
  • The post holder must be able to plan, organise and prioritise workload to meet agreed deadlines while maintaining attention to detail and a high level of accuracy and working effectively under pressure.
  • The successful individual will be self-motivated with an entrepreneurial approach and take responsibility for their own work with the ability to respond to clients' needs.
  • You will be commercially astute with excellent negotiating skills and the ability to sensitively manage competing priorities and key stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills are essential to success in this role and the successful candidate will excel at networking and relationship building.
