SALARY UP TO £31,000

We are looking to recruit a Quality Engineer to ensure compliance of inspected components to customer’s specification. The Quality Engineer needs to ensure that the company’s quality management system is implemented and maintained within the division.

Principle Duties & Responsibilities:
 Metallurgical Inspection / examination of all heat treated product processed on site to ensure they meet customers order requirements
 Keep AGI NEE Quality Manager informed about site operation and problems
 In the absence of the AGI NEE Quality Manager to immediately inform UK Quality Manager of any serious customer complaints
 Aid in the development of processing new work, developing cycles, inspection techniques etc.
 Ensuring sufficient consumables e.g., indentors/blocks, thermocouples are available and re-ordered in time
 Ensuring the Calibration schedule is adhered to and all daily / weekly checks are carried out on time
 Verify all certification of purchased product / services to ensure they meet order / specification requirements
 Ensuring all equipment, gauges, schedules, periodic checks, system accuracy checks, quench oil samples, daily hardness verifications etc. are all up to dateAssist in resolving non-conforming product including root cause analysis
 Completion and Review of Thermal Uniformity Surveys
 Liaison with customer technical, production and quality department.
 Deputise for other Quality team members
 Carry out all duties identified on the Responsibility and Authority Matrix - Approved Signatories - MD 288 (which are not detailed above)
 Follow company health & safety procedures and disciplines
 Follow and comply with company environmental procedures
 Follow and Comply with all quality system requirements relevant to Job Description
 Keep the working environment clean and tidy and practise good housekeeping / 5S Techniques

Education, Skills and Experience
 Formal engineering, quality, materials or metallurgical qualification
 "Hands on" experience of heat treatment environment preferred but experience in technical department or inspection essential
 Ability to work as part of a team. Good eyesight (WI33)Ability to work and oversee several projects at any point in time but still keep the required quality documentation up to date and organised.
