The Mobilisation Project Lead is responsible for supporting all aspects of end to end strategic development, in relation to the spend categories owned by Procurement. This role is integral to the development of "front end adoption" of supply chain solutions in contract mobilisation arenas throughout the Division. This role will lead all due diligence and mobilisation activity to enable the contract operations team to operate in line with the contract and Procurement policy from go-live. The successful applicant will work closely with Indirect category managers and operational teams to ensure all aspects of mobilisation are covered to the required standards.

The Mobilisation Project Lead will be accountable for:

  • Working with the Head of Procurement for Supply Chain Development to implement and promote a strategy that maximises value throughout the business with a key focus on Business Development and Mobilisation opportunities

  • Leading the development of the mobilisation plan and be accountable for Procurement & Supply Chain activity throughout the mobilisation

  • Attending off-site mobilisation meetings as the Procurement representative

  • Reviewing and understanding the contractual obligations for service delivery

  • Managing risk register during mobilisation to mitigate supply chain assumptions

  • Reviewing and negotiating supply chain quotes back to the contractual obligations

  • Coordinating overseeing, updating and owning the Procurement & Supply Chain mobilisation activity

  • Ensuring essential mobilisation equipment deliveries are scheduled in a timely manner

  • Preparing and rolling out a Procurement support manual for contract operations team in accordance with our Procurement policy and proposed supply chain

  • Measure and report on preferred supplier uptake statistics - pre to post mobilisation phase


  • Minimum Degree Level standard education

  • A minimum of 3 years procurement experience

  • Good communication skills are required and previous experience in procurement for a large, multi-business organisation

  • Needs to be numerate and IT literate and have experience of using the Microsoft Business Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Needs to be highly motivated and possess strong interpersonal skills; candidates should be capable of operating with the minimum of guidance and be able to communicate effectively at all levels of the business

  • Ability to multi-task, manage multiple projects and stakeholders whilst delivering to strict timescales

  • Proven track record in negotiation and supply relationship management

  • Demonstrate Change Management practices

  • Demonstrate Project Management experience in a Supply chain environment

  • Strategic Sourcing and Procurement experience

  • Good commercial background applied within an FM background

  • Proven Supplier relationship management and development

  • Good understanding of Business Development and mobilisation processes

  • Strong organisation, planning and strategic and tactical execution skills

  • Persuasively presents audience appropriate sensitive and complex issues up to the highest levels

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate to all levels of the business

Job Offer

This role offers between £40,000 and £50,000 + benefits
