Care Assistants - Elderly, Older Persons

Our clients offer person centred support to elderly residents, many of whom suffer mild Learning disabilities, dementia or mild mental health issues. There will be some challenging behaviour, mainly verbal and you must be skilled in managing this.
The residential homes are set in fantastic settings, many close to public transport links and offer modern, up to date equipment and working environments. A highly professional care provider, our client will encourage you to continue developing your skills as a Care Assistant and will actively support your ongoing learning.

The Role:

Our clients offer supported living, residential and outreach support services for older persons with learning disabilities, mild to moderate mental health and some physical disabilities. Knowledge and experience of supporting individuals with autism / ASD or Dementia would also be highly beneficial as would the ability to effectively manage challenging behaviour, both verbal and mild physical.

You will:

* Hold a valid DBS (Registered with the online service checker)
* Must have an NVQ2 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
* Able to work shifts, morning, evening, nights, weekends

If you have a DBS that is registered with the online update service, we can offer you work more quickly. You must be able to provide a minimum of 5 years references and either have all mandatory training in date, or be prepared to complete this prior to starting your assignment. FRCE will support you with your training needs if required.
