Our client has an exciting opportunity for Outreach Support Workers to join the Avenues Outreach Support team in Oswestry, Shropshire.

In this varied and dynamic role you will empower the people we support to have active and fulfilling lives aligned with their needs and aspirations. You will enable people to live as independently as possible and to become happier and more content with their lives as a result.

As an Outreach Support Worker you will provide support to service users in their own homes and in the community and as such it is essential that you hold a valid driving licence and have your own vehicle.

Their services operate 24/7, 365 days a year and shift patterns will include early mornings, late evenings, sleep-ins and waking nights and you must be flexible to cover the rota at the service.

Our client is an outreach service supporting people with acquired brain injury in Oswestry, Wem, Shrewsbury and Whitchurch.

What knowledge and experience should you have?

To be an Outreach Support Worker it is beneficial to have experience in a similar role which will help you to build upon through fantastic training and support, from day one, to enable you to be outstanding in your role. They recognise the value that experience can bring and successful candidates with at least 12 months’ sector experience will see this reflected in their salary.

What skills and abilities will you need?

You will be a natural when it comes to thinking on your feet and making the commitment to see things through and get the best outcomes for the people we support. Above all you’ll be willing to learn and take a flexible approach to your role.
