Job Title: Production Controller

Location: CML IPS Telford

Reporting to: General Manger

Culina Group a well established leader in the logistics market is recruiting for a Production Controller on a permanent basis at our CML Telford depot.

The role holder will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

- Motivating a team of people to meet production targets, covering for the Production Manager in their absence.
- Ensuring the final product meets client’s specifications.
- Effectively maximising production efficiency to ensure plans are met
- Acting as specialist for machinery notice.
- Effectively using the integrated on site management systems.
- Adhering to and promoting best practice in accordance with company health, safety and quality regulations.
- Ensuring all paperwork and systems are completed and accurate in accordance with company procedures.
- Ensuring that all areas comply with hygiene audits, both internal and external.
- Ensuring good manufacturing practices (GMP) and housekeeping (clean as you go) are strictly adhered to.
- Assisting in the development of a skills matrix for all production workers.
- Attending Line Leader meetings and relevant training courses as and when required.
- Identifying and developing First Line Managers to promote succession planning.
- Monitoring, controlling and minimising waste.
- Playing an active part in continuous improvement.
- Participating in the companies Personal Development Plan (PDP) program.
- Conducting return to work interviews for Line Workers and conducting disciplinary investigations.

Competence Requirements:

- Health & Safety Level 2 Qualification or equivalent.
- NVQ 2 in Team Leading or packing operations.
- Ability to communicate in a positive and clear manner.
- Promotes and open and collaborative culture.
- Listen and encourage new ideas from others.
- Knowledge of company procedures and actively demonstrates compliance.
- Able to positively lead a team of people (temporary labour).
- Able to plan, organise and prioritise work to strict deadlines.
- Commitment to respond to changing customer needs.
- Able to work towards targets.
- Recognises and promotes the importance of continuous improvement.
- Develops best practices and drives performance in order to achieve service objectives.
- Experience of working in a customer led environment with changing priorities.
- Experience of manufacturing machinery and processes.
