*** Teaching Assistant - Maths

*** Full time, term time position
*** £55-60 per day
*** September 2017 start

Located close to Coventry city centre and easily reachable via public transport, my client school is looking to recruit a mathematics graduate to work as an Teaching Assistant in their Mathematics department. The position is starting in September 2017 and will run for the rest of the academic year. This is a full time position and will require candidates to commit to working five days a week.

The school has a number of strengths with science and mathematics being at the forefront. As a Teaching Assistant - Maths you will join an extremely effective department that has adopted and developed creative methods of teaching the curriculum to their pupils. Despite the departments success at GCSE level there are a small number of pupils that require some additional help in order for them to make the progress their potential deserves at GCSE level.

As a Teaching Assistant - Maths you will be working with small groups of pupils and occasionally on a one-to-one basis in order to help raise attainment levels. Some pupils respond more positively to learning in small groups, especially when creative methods are used to look at mathematical problems from a different perspective. As you learn and progress in the role you will build up a bank of ideas and methods that can successfully remove barriers to learning mathematics for this school’s pupils.

Ideally the school are looking for maths graduates that are looking for experience prior to training as Teaching Assistant - Maths.

If this sounds like you and you’d love the opportunity to work in a great Coventry school, are committed to a career as a Teaching Assistant - Maths and have determination to help pupils then please email a copy of your CV to Eamon Malin at EduStaff today.

Please note: due to the volume of applications, only successful applicants will be contacted.
