Multi Skilled Technician
Our client is a the largest supplier of branded still soft drinks and the number two supplier of branded carbonated soft drinks in Great Britain. We are looking for talented technicians to join their team based in the Rugby area. We welcome applications from qualified/experienced candidates with experience in food and drink manufacturing environments.   • To lead and deliver plans for plant, people and processes, within the context of the overall Manufacturing strategy for a particular area or process, aligning the delivery requirements of the GB&I Operations.
  • To support the site operational teams to deliver optimum use of resources, that ensure the site delivers safety, productivity, quality, cost, and service objectives in an environment of high morale and engagement.
  • Ensure the specialist area/process complies with Engineering and Safety legislation.
  • Financial Span of Control
    • Manage the Engineering Budget for a particular area/process
Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development of the factories' vision and strategic plan
  • Develop engineering Training, skills and knowledge, promoting a professional team culture across site and all shifts.
  • Monitor and control engineering budgets with agreed limits to deliver the most cost effective results.
  • Be proactive in implementing continuous improvement with regard to line operating practices and equipment.
  • Own, and co-ordinate routine maintenance activities and line overhauls to achieve maximum plant effectiveness/utilisation, by working with the Engineering Planner
  • Support the Site Engineering Manager to develop and regularly review the capacity plan and to propose investment activities to address any shortfalls.
  • Supports the Site Engineering Manager as part of a robust team for deployment in problematic areas and projects
  • Supports the Production Unit Managers” In top loss area’s” with specific focus
  • Plan, allocate, and evaluate work carried out by the teams, individuals, and self. Ensuring we are working on the right things
  • Effectively monitor downtime information and identify areas for improvement and corrective actions
  • Lead root cause analysis on all equipment failures as specified, establish and implement appropriate next steps to prevent recurrence and communicate the results appropriately.
  • Develop and embed robust systems for continuity of communication, between Days support and the operational teams
  • Ensure that health and safety is a priority, ensuring that risk assessments and safety audits are completed.
  • Develop and deliver robust KPI reporting on a weekly basis.

Required qualifications and experience:
Ideally City & Guilds, ONC/HNC in electrical/automation engineering discipline
