This Teaching Assistant position is designed for a confident Science graduate who has earned a second class degree or better and experienced working with secondary aged children in either a paid or voluntary role. You must have the ambition to begin a rewarding career in teaching and absorb yourself fully in to school life.
In your role as a Teaching Assistant, you will be working solely within the school’s Science department helping support pupils on the C-D borderlines, mid-range and the talented & gifted. You will be required to embrace the school’s ethos, learn from the staff around you, and utilise your own initiative to provide excellent classroom support and aid in the development of those pupils you support. Although you will be expected to work hard in your own time, the school are also keen to support your development by offering plenty of training opportunities.
