Staff Nurse (RGN/RMN) -Southam, Warwickshire

We are recruiting for a Nurse to join our clients' fantastic 'Outstanding' nursing home. The home is situated on the edge of Southam, a small market town in the heart of the Warwickshire countryside. It's a comfortable place, somewhere residents can feel is their real home, for as long as they are there.

Job Role: Nurse

Hours: 37.5 per week (based on 3 x 12.5 hour day and night shifts)

Salary: £15.40 per hour (plus 50p per hour market supplement paid for every hour worked)

Pension Scheme in place, PIN paid for and 22 days holiday, plus 8 Bank Holidays

Job Description:

- Report any ill health amongst Clients and make requests for GP / Professional visits where necessary.
- Assess all aspects of Clients' care needs, and provide health supervision and direct Nursing Care when required.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure that each Client within the Care Home has an individualised Care Plan. Client Care Plans to be reviewed on a monthly basis, or more frequently if required, in accordance with NMC guidelines & Company policy.
- Administer prescribed medicines and document the same in accordance with the Company's procedure and NMC guidelines.
- Participate in Staff and Client meetings as and when required.
- Establish and maintain good communication with Clients, Relatives and with the multidisciplinary team.
- Supervise and instruct junior and new Staff Members in all aspects of their work in the Care Home, giving help and guidance where appropriate.
- Attend mandatory training days/courses, on or off site, as and when required.
- Report immediately to the Home Manager, or the Person in Charge, any illness of an infectious nature or accident incurred by a Client, colleague, self or another.
- Understand, and ensure the implementation of the Care Home's Health and Safety policy, and Emergency and Fire procedures.

What you need:

- Registered PIN
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- Genuine interest in working with the relevant Client group
- Satisfactory Police Check
- Team player
- Previous experience is desirable
