We have an exciting opportunity to join one of the worlds leading manufacturers of heavy equipment as a quality engineer. Based in Staffordshire this company is synonymous with quality and their brands stretches the world over.

This role is based in the business unit responsible for the design, development and manufacture of diesel engines for both their own use and OEM applications. Due to an exciting period of growth we are looking for the role for a Supplier Quality Engineer for our award-winning diesel engine. Reporting into the Quality Manager this position will join our professional, dynamic team to support the delivery of business objectives through the development and implementation of excellent quality practices.

Your Responsibilities as a Supplier Quality Engineer:

Working as part of a fast paced and integrated team, the role is primarily to monitor, control and continuously improve supplier quality to ensure components brought into the assembly plant are consistently to a high standard. This will include supplier audit including PPAP, coordination of 8D resolution, and use of statistical analysis tools to verify suppliers processes are to an acceptable standard.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate extensive knowledge of supplier improvement across a range of casting, moulding and machining methodologies. Knowledge of Diesel engine operation, preferably in an off highway environment would be an advantage.

Our client uses a global supply base and regular travel both within the UK and overseas is expected, with reasonable expenses covered according to our company policies.

About you:

You will be a trained auditor with extensive proven experience of diesel engine component manufacture and automotive quality systems. You will be very familiar with ISO9001:2015 and TS16949.

You will be an excellent team worker with a passion for the product and the tenacity needed to see things through. You will be comfortable operating with a high degree of autonomy.
