The role
Due to continued growth and investment, Highways England is looking to recruit a new Supplier Performance & Practised Improvement Manager to join our expanding Commercial & Procurement Division. The successful applicant will be offered a 6 month fixed-term contract and can be based in Birmingham, Leeds or Manchester.
This role will ensure Highways England creates and utilises the right supplier performance and behavioural intelligence, in a way that drives positive performance/behaviour, creates continuous improvement and actively helps to achieve Highways England KPI outcomes in a sustainable way.
Day to day
? Co-ordinate and report on performance activities of Highways' England suppliers to ensure consistency and enable informed decision making.
? Identify opportunities for performance improvement and support delivery of efficiency savings through data analysis and intelligence.
? Build and share best practice across all tiers of the supply chain.
? Measure progress for projects and programmes using Earned Value Management techniques
? Measure supply chain performance using the Collaborative Performance Framework.
? Contribute to the development of improved performance reporting processes.
? Coach and support client Directors, Programme Managers, Project Managers/Sponsors and their teams on improving supplier and business performance.
? Lead on delivery of projects to improve performance and the reporting of it..
? Understand and receive customer insight pertinent to highways suppliers and the aspects of customer experience influenced by Commercial & Procurement. Act as a subject matter expert within C&P to drive supplier performance and customer service improvement supporting delivery of the customer satisfaction KPI.
? Drive improvements in health and safety performance ensuring effective practice is promulgated to staff and partners and carry out any tasks identified to the post
About you
? Understanding of how to create excellent supply chain delivery performance
? Demonstrable experience of shaping, leading & managing supplier performance at a senior level in project and programme delivery.
? A track record of delivering sustainable outcomes, linked to the ability to develop constructive working relationships within and across teams and suppliers.
? Strong communication skills
? Ability to work well alone and as part of a team
