MPI are currently looking for a Semi Skilled Auto-Electrician

Approx 13 weeks contract initially with the possibility of then becoming permanent for the right candidate.

Approx 40 hours per week GBP9.00 per hour PAYE

If overtime available (this is not guarantee) the uplift is as follows:- Before 8am - Mon-Fri 1.3% uplift on basic After 2pm - Fri 1.5% uplift on basic Saturday - 1.5% uplift on basic Sun/Bank Holidays - Double Time

Auto Electrician As an auto electrician you would be able to fit and repair electrical and electronic systems in motor vehicles.

As our vehicles are more advanced the amount of electronics in them is more enhanced than the average car.

Ideally you will need good practical skills. You will also need to be able to read electrical wiring plans.

Responsibilities

• Vehicle Preparation and fitting of the electronics equipment

• Checking and testing of the wiring and vehicle parts

• Fault finding and rectification work

• Retesting the system to make sure everything is working correctly and safely

Essential Requirements • Previous experience of Installation, repair and maintenance of electrical systems in vehicles

• Checking and testing of the wiring and vehicle parts

• Fault finding and rectification work• Knowledge and experience of electronic systems such as: Electronic ignitions, alarms immobilisers and tracking devices. Electric windows, mirrors, seats tow bar electrics and air-conditioning. Customised LED or neon lighting kits, parking warning systems and reverse cameras

Ability to build looms would advantageous

• Ability to strip and reassemble vehicles would be desirable

• Demonstrable experience would be considered.

• Knowledge of split charge systems

• Knowledge of radio installation would be desirable

Pay rate: Based on skills and experience 40 hours basic worked between Monday to Thursday 8am - 5pm Friday 8am - 2pm
