Monarch Education are currently recruiting for a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to support two pupils with special educational needs. This school is based within South Birmingham and the role is 5 days per week.

The school have said that these two children are academically bright and get on well in school and enjoy their learning. However, these children have a feeding tube so will need assistance administering medication and feeding.

Majority of your day will be spent supporting these children in class, so it is essential that you have experience of the primary national curriculum. The children are currently in Year 3 and working well towards their targets.

It is essential that you have PEGS training to assist the children with their feeding and medication. The school will provide the PEG machine, but you must hold an in-date and valid PEGs training certificate. The reason for needing the training is that is raises awareness and familiarises staff with the various types of PEG feeding and medication administration techniques including the use of machines and to have enough knowledge to use them safely.

It is essential that you have a minimum of a Level 3 qualification relating to working with children
