Intellectual Property Solicitor - Contentious Work

A major award winning international full service law firm wishes to appoint an experienced IP Solicitor to join its admirable Intellectual Property Team and be based at the firms' modern offices in the heart of Birmingham city centre.

This firm has a stellar reputation in the global energy, infrastructure, financial services, advanced manufacturing and technology sectors and is a truly global operation meaning that it is well-placed to advise on complex multi-jurisdictional matters across a full range of legal disciplines and it is proud to have achieved a significant number of Tier 1 rankings in the Legal 500 in recent times.

The Intellectual Property Division, which is regarded as probably one of the best in the country, is keen to add an IP Solicitor with a minimum of 6 years' PQE to deal primarily with contentious IP matters although on occasion your assistance will be required on some non-contentious matters.

It goes without saying that you will have a strong academic record as well as have exceptional technical skills which you will have honed whilst having worked at a Top 50 commercial practice dealing with cross-jurisdictional issues on behalf of leading commercial entities. In this role you will liaise with some of the largest retail, manufacturing, technology and life sciences companies and deal with contentious cases that often attract media attention and are also instrumental in making new law.

This is a rare opportunity to join a global leader and be exposed to the very best intellectual property work there is on behalf of an envied client list that will also comprise a cross-border element. You will work alongside some of the most prominent and experienced lawyers in the sector meaning that any experience gained with this firm will only open more doors in the future.

A competitive salary and benefits package is naturally on offer given the firms standing in the market but what sets this role apart from others is the abundance of progression and development opportunities on offer, especially as you will be actively encouraged to take advantage of the firms' transparent talent development path to progress with the firm. You will also benefit from a good deal of client exposure, especially when you undertake training seminars and presentations at clients' offices.
