Due to the new partnership between Birmingham City Council and Hays, we are now looking to recruit a Cemetery Operative for the Birmingham city centre and surrounding areas. Your new role
As a Cemetery Operative you will be taking responsibility of the entire cemetery grounds whilst also carrying out general maintenance. You will be working in the public sector on behalf of a lucrative council who are very passionate about their public service. You will ensure that the Health & Safety requirements are met to ensure a profound experience to our customers during their time.
What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will obtain a strong background in grounds maintenance . Previous experience using mechanical excavators and dumper trucks is essential as you will be operating with heavy machinery, for this you will need a full UK driving license. Grave digging will be a regular duty which you will need to carry out therefore you will need to be physically able to operate digging equipment, strimmers and cutters.
