CAS Behavioural Health is one of the UK’s leading providers of specialist behavioural adult healthcare services.
We are currently recruiting a Bank Kitchen assistant to join our catering team at our sister sites, Cedars and Elms.
Cedars provides an intensive mental health rehabilitation service for up to 22 male patients with learning disabilities and other complex needs and Elms provides an intensive adult mental health rehabilitation service for up to 10 female patients with learning disabilities and other complex needs.

Job Role:
Working closely with Chef to plan/cost of menu’s in order to provide a balanced nutritious diet, making the best use of fresh foods available. You will be responsible for preparing, cooking and serving hot and cold meals as appropriate. You will also provide special diets where necessary, taking into account individual dietary requirements i.e. Allergies/Halal/Diabetic/Vegan etc.
One of your duties would be to order stock and check deliveries. It is important to be up to date with food safety and health and hygiene regulations when under taking your duties in the kitchen and dining area. A key part of your role would be to maintain an accurate record/ list of food supplies, freezer temperature requirements as requested.

About you:
The successful candidate for this role would ideally have experience working in a catering/kitchen/hospitality environment or equivalent. It is also advantageous if you have a relevant food/catering qualification.

Specific Requirement
Please note – this role is exempt from the rehabilitation of offenders act 1974 as you will be in contact with vulnerable adults. Therefore all candidates invited for interview will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check and any offer of employment be subject to successful clearance.
