The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for processing the payroll and to maintain records. Reviews and records all pay related changes including job titles and organisation changes, ensures accurate computation of pay.

General Duties and Responsibilities:

• Organises the collection and input of pay adjustments, miscellaneous payments, commissions, bonuses and severance payments
• To ensure the processing of all payroll information is accurate and timely and to ensure that all procedures for payroll processes are documented and current at all times
• Maintains the relationship with the payroll bureau ADP Freedom/ ADP Streamline on a day to day basis, dealing with any system changes or queries
• Perform system administration duties on the HR / Payroll database
• Creates standard and ad hoc reports using iTrent and Business Objects
• Ensuring compliance with Auto Enrolment and accurate processing
• Handles day to day queries from employees and managers regarding pay
• Records employee terminations, family related leave, changes in line manager and organisational changes
• Prepares requests for manual payments and submits requests for approval
• Responsible for sorting and distributing payslips
• Perform a variety of support tasks associated with payroll operations.

General Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:


• Demonstrable experienced in the use of payroll systes and Business Objects system
• Intermediate level of excel knowledge, required to manipulate data and produce reports
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and third party suppliers
• Ability to work to tight deadlines and multi task effectively
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing at all levels of the organisation
• Demonstrate skill in analysis, decision-making and problem solving
• Team player that is both self-motivated and detail-oriented but able to also work independently


• CIPP Diploma, or working towards
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and third party suppliers
