Creative Support is a national not-for-profit organisation which is looking to recruit warm and person centred individuals in your area to provide the highest standards to service users with support needs. With a strong history of over twenty five years in helping individuals with a wide range of needs to live independent and fulfilling lives, we ensure that our clients enjoy opportunities for personal development and engaging within their local communities.
We are looking for dedicated, enthusiastic and imaginative people to join our team of support workers in Sandwell, and the surrounding area’s. You will likely work between our supported living scheme’s and our outreach support service supporting people with learning disabilities as a primary diagnosis. You will demonstrate the ability to work flexibly and autonomously to efficiently manage a fluid caseload.
Although previous experience is not essential, you will demonstrate the values that are essential for a role of this nature such as warmth, compassion and unconditional positive regard. You will also demonstrate an understanding of the important elements of supporting people with learning disabilities and analytical and problem solving skills that are essential to manage your own caseload in the community.
You will be required to operate ethically and to adhere to the duty of care for social care workers and the policies and procedures of Creative Support.
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a well established and thriving team where you will be able to contribute to the shaping of existing services and new services for people with learning disabilities. You will receive a full local and corporate induction after which you will attain a level 3 certificate in ‘Preparing to work in adult social care’. On successful completion of your probationary period you will automatically be enrolled onto the level 3 diploma in health and social care. You will have access to ongoing training from our regional training office in Birmingham and will discuss your individual training and development during regular supervision and appraisal.
