Staffordshire based systems integrator seeks an experienced Senior Control Systems Engineer with solid PLC & HMI experience to join a professional engineering team working on a wide range of machinery based projects. The successful Senior Control Systems Engineer will be responsible for the delivery of automation projects including some travel in the UK and abroad.

Based within the projects department, this will suit an Engineer looking for a varied and interesting project base with the chance to take full project lifecycle involvement. Duties will include:

? Design, documentation, programming, testing, site installation & commissioning of PLC Control/Drive systems along with on-going system support

? Providing customer support

? Mentoring Junior Engineers

? Implementing continuous improvement processes

We are seeking a confident Senior Controls Engineer with solid experience of the integration of control and automation systems working on projects from concept to completion. The role will include:

? Leading the software development on one or more projects on any number of system platforms across a wide range of industries

? Creating and implementing procedures for software development and software release

? Design, documentation, programming, testing, site installation and commissioning of PLC Control/drive systems and on-going system support

? Provide customer support

? Mentoring junior Engineers

? Assisting with tender quotations

You will have solid background of the integration of control and automation systems, completing projects from conception to final delivery. We are looking for a Senior Control Engineer who is willing to accept responsibility with the ability to make key decisions, along with excellent people skills. You will have:

? Confident ability to handle the latest control & automation products and systems

? In-depth knowledge of using one or more of the main PLC/HMI systems - Siemens, Allen Bradley or Mitsubishi

? Ability to understand and create control system schematics and architecture layouts

? Understanding and ability to configure SCADA systems

Should you have additional skills with electrical control panel design - ideally with AutoCAD - this would be highly advantageous, however, not essential.
