Our client, a global automotive manufacturer with an iconic brand, has made available a number of contract posts for Automotive Chassis Project Engineers to be based at their Gaydon location, offering up to £21.25 per hour (umbrella or limited company contractor basis).

The Automotive Chassis Project Engineer must have experience of at least one of the following:

- Chassis component and systems knowledge with experience of managing vehicle content/ programmes within concept phase
- Design and development of the chassis control module with experience managing complex systems
- Frames componentry from concept through to production with understanding of vehicle systems and experience in design and CAE techniques
- 2+ years of chassis engineering and project management experience
- Design and development of Damper, Springs, and damper modules
- Design and delivery of production of Air Valve Blocks for Air Suspension Systems
- Experience of test track based vehicle testing, advanced driving skills, and understanding of vehicle dynamics fundamentals
- Project management within a development environment and an understanding of automotive control systems
- Experience in providing full chassis support for vehicle prototype builds, project management, and an understanding of the product creation process
- Proficiency in the component releasing process, and the ability to support tyre programs
- Knowledge of chassis or steering systems, with the ability to develop steering system engineering solutions
- Knowledge of automotive components and systems, and knowledge of brake systems
- Understanding of chassis suspension components, and CAD experience
- Experience of chassis systems, and the ability to represent chassis during the build of prototype vehicles, with the ability to sign-off cars to process/ design intent/ desired quality

Qualifications and Experience required for the Automotive Chassis Project Engineer

- Engineering related degree
- Automotive Experience
- Knowledge of Chassis systems
- Project management experience
- PC Skills
- For design vacancies, preferably CAD experience - Ideally Catia
